Silent Letters

One of the difficulties of English spelling is the high number of silent letters. Silent letters make the spelling of words different from their pronunciation.  Try some quizzes to test your knowledge of silent letters!

About Me

My photo
Janet Les
I am a volunteer (former coordinator) for the Chilliwack ESL Volunteer Tutor Program. We match English learners with volunteer tutors and organize small group learning such as Conversation Circles under the umbrella of the Chilliwack Learning Society. I also work as a casual LINC Instructor and CLBPT assessor for Chilliwack Community Services. I was born in Chilliwack and have lived here all my life as a daughter, wife, mother, student, employee, teacher, business owner, volunteer, etc. I enjoy sharing my love for our community with newcomers and using my network of resources and contacts to help immigrants adapt to living in Canada.
