·       EVEN – emphasis, surprising

·       EVEN AS – two actions at the same time – Even as he worked, he thought about hiking.

·       EVEN IF – conditional – Even if it’s easy, I don’t enjoy hiking.

·       EVEN NOW – at this time – Even now that they’re so busy, they hike every day.

·       EVEN SO – nevertheless – It was cold but even so, we enjoyed the hike.

·       EVEN THEN – at a particular time – She was often tired, but even then, she went hiking.

·       EVEN THOUGH – comes before a fact – Even though it rained, we went hiking.

·       EVEN WHEN – comes before a “sometimes” situation – Even when it rains, they go hiking.
